How the scorecard works

Most companies want to adopt AI but struggle to answer a basic question: are we actually ready? AI readiness is not about whether you have heard of ChatGPT or run a few experiments. It is about whether your organization has the foundations to deploy AI in a way that produces real business value and does not collapse after the pilot phase.

This scorecard measures four dimensions. Data infrastructure covers how your data is stored, accessed, and governed. If your data lives in disconnected spreadsheets or requires manual requests to access, most AI projects will stall before they start. Process maturity looks at whether your core workflows are documented and consistent enough for AI to augment them. Team capability assesses whether you have the right people (or a realistic plan to get them) to build, manage, and maintain AI systems. Strategic clarity examines whether leadership has defined what AI should accomplish and how it connects to business outcomes.

Each question is scored on a four-point scale. At the end, you get an overall readiness score plus a breakdown by dimension so you can see exactly where your gaps are.

If you are just starting to explore AI, this will show you where to invest first. If you have already run a few projects and they are not scaling, it will tell you why. The results include specific recommendations for each dimension, so you leave with a clear picture of what to fix.
